Gang War in London

The police have warned that London is “on the cusp” of a violent turf war with ethnic criminal gangs trying to muscle in to control Pound 250 million-a-year drug business in the city.  There is threat of race-based crime battles on streets in areas like East End, and certain spots in north London and Soho.

Now, police has Facts to crack crime

New Delhi, December 11:  A computer programme called Facts or Finger Prints Analysis and Criminal Tracing System, which has been devised by the Delhi Police, has helped the police solve over 13 cases in the recent past.   Facts is a databank with records of fingerprints and other details of over 91,000 criminals in Delhi.  Additional Commissioner of police of the crime branch, M. Qamar Ahmad, told the Asian Age that efforts were on to enlarge the databank in Facts.   The scope of Facts would widen further with the operation of the district mobile crime teams which are having CTDS-trained personnel in it.  The Delhi Police succeeded in cracking about seven cases of burglary, three cases of robbery, two cases of snatching and one case of theft with the help of the new technology.
