a company registered with the Delhi Police. “We are going to register the security agencies in order to

“Initially it would be a voluntary registration but I feel all
the companies would come forward as it would ultimately help them. However, once a legislation comes through, then it would be
mandatory for every security agency He
added that the police would then impart special training to the personnel

Dakshineswar arms devotees with insurance Express News Service, Dakshineswar (Hooghly
District), December 18: The Akshardham attack in Gandhinagar is
ringing alarm bells in West Bengal’s Dakshineswar temple. The management today insured the temple, its staff and
devotees against terrorist strikes, giving the United India Insurance Co.
Ltd. its first annual premium of Rupees two lakhs. The agreement says the insurance company will pay a specified
amount to the temple authorities within 72 hours of an attack for starting
initial restoration work. Subsequent
payments would be made after assessing the damages, which will enable the
temple authorities to compensate the devotees, injured or dead. The comprehensive insurance package also insures the temple’s
assets against natural calamities and dacoity.
