Witness' word can't be ignored, says SC
In a ruling aimed to at strengthening the hands of
the prosecution, the Supreme Court of India said the trial court should
not discard the statement of a witness completely merely because it
was found to be false in certain aspects.
The court rejected the contention of the accused persons
that the testimony of witnesses was found to be false in some aspects
of the crime and hence these should be discarded by the court totally.
