Violence Unchained

The details covered in the Terrorism and Security Files will be revealing. Even with our limited access and coverage, chilling acts of violence have come to the fore last month in countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, Egypt, Malaysia, Indonesia, Mauritiana, Myanmar, Spain, USA, Srilanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Pakistan and India. The post-election scenario in Iraq seems to be a virtual or raging battle-ground between the state forces and the fighting rebels, still unwilling to accept the fait accompli. And, instances of suicide bombings seem to have become playthings. The nexalite menace has been assuming frightening proportions in many States in India. The ‘pros’ are: LeT and Dawood being banned by the UN for association with Osama bin Laden and there being some squeeze on terror funds. But are we any where near what all peace-loving people in these countries and every where else want to be? Why does not people’s wrath douse those who are leading us to this unwanted path? Can something be done to arouse the Samsonite rage to counter or chain this spate of unwarranted violence? Let us ponder a while - all together! Best Regards
