On June 4, 2002 the Delhi police arrested four persons
for online trading and export of controlled psychotropic drugs to countries
like the United States and Britain. It is the first case of cyber crime
ever solved by the Delhi unit of the Narcotics Control Bureau.
A total of 2,654 tablets were seized during die raid
at the office of the website in Faridabad. The Narcotics Bureau warned
that this was just a beginning of the crack down as many more such websites
were involved in he illegal trade of controlled substances.
