  Delhi Police Advisory - Carrying Cash?

Be alert when you carry huge cash. Follow safety measures

Do's
  • Maintain secrecy about your carrying cash and money transactions.
  • Behave normal but stay mentally alert.
  • Use your own transport to carry cash.
  • Keep the doors of your car locked while driving.
  • If possible, carry a mobile phone for seeking timely help.
  • Be alert while doing business in the bank.
  • If possible, travel with your security guard or gunner or your employee.

Don'ts

  • Don't discuss anything with strangers about your carrying cash and money transactions.
  • Avoid carrying huge cash alone, on foot or on a two-wheeler.
  • Don't follow the same route and timings while going to your bank.
  • Don't get distracted by acts of cheats. They pretend as if your money has fallen on the floor inside or outside your bank.

Bank can help by:

  • Installing CCTV in the banking premises to monitor any suspicious person or movement.
  • Installing alarm system.
  • Checking strangers visiting the bank.
  • Checking the hawkers and vehicles parked outside the bank specially between 11.30 A.M. to 1.00 P.M.

Instructing their security guards to keep a watch on suspicious persons hanging around the premises, maintaining direct link with the nearest Police Station.

You can safeguard your cash by keeping an eye on anything suspicious and informing your nearest Police Station, Police Post or PCR van for immediate help.
